Remote Car is an application that makes it easier for you to control your Volvo car with your iPhone. It helps you to send correct formatted SMS to the Volvo on Call service. Right now the Volvo on Call service only supports you to control the heater remotely by sending SMS but you can access more features of Volvo on Call by contacting their call center. Both these ways of controlling your car are supported by this application. As more services will get supported to be controlled with SMS they will also be incorporated in the Remote Car application.

Now it also offers a feature which helps you find your way back to your parked car. When you park your car just press the marker button. When you want to get back to your car just open the parked car tab and it will show you your current location and the location where you parked your car.

To be able to use this Application you have to have a Volvo on Call subscription and to start the Remote Heater with a SMS you need to have a Volvo with 2011 Model year. If you are uncertain if your car is compatible contact your local Volvo dealer and ask them if your car supports starting the Heater remotely with SMS.
